Here’s a preview video of the 2016 ISDE, which gets underway tomorrow in Navarra, Spain and will run through October 16.
The 2016 U.S. ISDE Trophy Team includes FMF KTM Factory Team riders Kailub Russell and Taylor Robert, and KR4 Husqvarna Racing Team rider Thad DuVall. Layne Michael replaces 2015 ISDE overall winner Ryan Sipes, who had to pull of the event after suffering a broken arm after being involved in a head-on collision with another rider while warming up his bike at the AMSOIL GNCC event in St. Clairsville, Ohio on October 2.
Michael’s addition to the team has necessitated a slight shift in strategy. Russell, who was scheduled to compete in the E1 class, will now compete in E2 with Robert. Sipes will compete in the E1 class and DuVall will compete in the E3 class.
The 2016 U.S. Junior Trophy Team includes SRT KTM rider Steward Baylor; AmPro Yamaha Racing Team rider Grant Baylor and the recently crowned AMSOIL GNCC XC2 Champion, JCR Honda ‘s Trevor Bollinger. Brothers Steward and Grant Baylor will compete in the E2 class. Bollinger will compete in the E1 division.
