Check out this trailer for the off-road film “Baja Social Club,” a historic retrospective documentary about the most legendary off-road race in the world, the Baja 1000.
Directed by James Masters and created by Marty Fiolka, Baja Social Club honors the motorized culture of the iconic Mexican peninsula. The film traces the origins of the race, which was first sanctioned under the NORRA banner in 1967. Inaugural race winners Vic Wilson and Bruce Meyers are profiled in the film, as is the man who arguably deserves the title of “Off-Road Motorcyclist of the Century,” Malcolm Smith. Baja Social Club gives us another look at these men and many others as they “rediscover themselves on a 1200-mile journey to their collective soul.”
