Defending series champion Taddy Blazusiak notches another win in the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series.
Red Bull KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak scored a gratifying win during round three of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series at the Gwinnett Center in Atlanta, last night. The event marked a return to action for the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series after a two-month layoff.
Blazusiak certainly showed no rust as he turned the fastest time in the afternoon hot laps to earn first gate pick in the heat race, which also included his teammate, Factory FMF/KTM’s Taylor Robert. Blazusiak and Robert ran one-two in the heat race, with Blazusiak edging out Robert for the win as both riders transferred directly to the main event.
Blazusiak got off to a fast start in the main event as well, grabbing the holeshot, only to lose the lead to American Beta’s Cody Webb. As the race wore on, it appeared as though the win would go to the rider who made the fewest mistakes. That turned out to be Blazusiak, who caught and passed Webb in the closing laps to take the win. Webb finished second, and Johnny Campbell Racing Honda’s Colton Haaker finished third.
The GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series goes another hiatus before heading into the Rocky Mountains for round four at the National Western Events Center in Denver, Colorado, October 4.
