Husqvarna confirmed the riders who will be part of its U.S. factory off-road racing effort in 2015, a list that boasts current and former champions, and a new title sponsor, Rockstar Energy Drink, today.

The team, which will be known as Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing, boasts a new member in former AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Champion Josh Strang. Returning for a second year are 2014 Kenda AMA National Enduro Champion Andrew DeLong, 2014 AMA West National Hare Scrambles Champion Jacob Argubright and GEICO EnduroCross contender Mike Brown.

Strang will contest the GNCC Series aboard a Husqvarna FC 450 in the XC1 Pro class, and he will also race the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series aboard an FC 350. Naturally, DeLong will defend his AMA National Enduro Championship, and he will look to improve on his fourth-place series finish in the GNCC series, DeLong will again pilot a Husqvarna FC 350 in both championships.

“I’m really excited for the 2015 season and defending my number one plate in the National Enduro Series,” DeLong said. “I’m also excited to try to put my Husqvarna FC 350 up on the GNCC podium at every race.”

AMA West National Hare Scrambles Champion Argubright is back for another season with Husqvarna. A desert specialist, he will defend his championship in the West Hare Scrambles series aboard a Husqvarna FC 450.

“We had some great moments in 2014, and we’re looking forward to an even better season in 2015,” Argubright said. “I’m excited to put Husqvarna back on top of the podium in the desert, where so many people remember them dominating. It’s going to be a good year.”

Motocrosser-turned-off-road-star Brown is also returning to the team. Brown, who recently returned from the ISDE where he represented his country on the U.S. Trophy Team, will once again take on the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series along with other select events in 2015. He will once again contest the AMA EnduroCross series aboard a Husqvarna FC 350 and race select races around the globe aboard an FC 450.

Former JCR Honda rider Colton Haaker will also receive a factory support ride with Husqvarna in 2015.

Husqvarna Off-Road Team Manager and former Baja 1000 Champion Timmy Weigand said that he is excited about the group of riders Husqvarna has selected for 2015.

“They are all front runners in their respective series,” Weigand said. “I look forward to this year and the opportunity we have as a team to carry on the values and tradition of Husqvarna. We are excited to have Rockstar Energy on board with us. I feel they help bring our team to another level and add some excitement.”

Indeed, both Rockstar and Husqvarna are pleased to have been able to put this level of program together for U.S. off-road racing.

“We are really excited to expand our race efforts with Husqvarna,” said Rockstar Energy Drink Marketing Director, Mike Kelso. “We are proud to be a part of the rebirth of such a legendary brand.” Husqvarna Motorcycles North American President, Jon-Erik Burleson added “Bringing on Rockstar Energy as a title sponsor is a really important step in our alliance as we take on off-road racing at the most reputable stages.”
