Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., has entered into an agreement with seven-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath that will see him serve in the role as brand ambassador, according to news issued by the team today.

McGrath will work with Kawasaki Team Green as well as promoting Kawasaki’s complete powersports family, including the KX, Mule, Ninja, Jetski and Teryx product lines. He will serve as a mentor to the Kawasaki Team Green and professional factory supported riders, passing along advice from his many years at the top of the sport.

“As the top grass roots racing program in the industry, I am excited to reunite with the team and do everything I can to promote Kawasaki and help all of the Team Green riders,” the 43-year-old McGrath said. “During my racing career and even since retirement, I always kept my eye on Team Green for the next stars of our sport. At this stage in my life, giving back to the sport I love is a top priority, and for that I feel Kawasaki is the best fit.”

While he won his championship titles aboard other brands, McGrath actually earned his first career AMA Supercross win aboard a Kawasaki KX125. McGrath won the 125cc West main event in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 17, 1990, while racing under the Kawasaki Team Green program.

Kawasaki Director of Marketing Chris Brull said the company is excited to have McGrath involved with the company again.

“For him to come back to his roots and begin another relationship with Kawasaki truly is a complement to our products and brand,” Brull said. “It is very fitting that Jeremy will join Ryan Villopoto, a four-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion in specific promotions of KX bikes.”
