Red Bull KTM announced yesterday that it has signed former Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider and 2014 Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout Champion Justin Hill to a contract for 2015.

Hill will race in the Monster Energy AMA 250cc West Supercross Series and the Lucas Oil Pro 250 Motocross Championship.

Hill hails from the state of Oregon where he lived throughout his amateur motocross career. The brother of AMA Supercross veteran Josh Hill, Justin began to recognized for his talents on a motocross bike at a very early age, as he won multiple amateur motocross titles and went on to secure a factory ride with Kawasaki in his rookie pro season in 2013. During that season he earned two top-five finishes in the Monster Energy AMA 250cc West Supercross Series.

In 2014, Hill’s results improved dramatically. He earned five podium finishes in the Monster Energy AMA 250cc West Supercross Series and scored his first professional career win at the San Diego Supercross. He also won the the prestigious Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series finale in Las Vegas. Hill ran in the top 10 in the Lucas Oil 250cc Pro Motocross Championship chase earlier this season before a shoulder injury at suffered at the Millville, Minnesota round, forced him to sit out the remainder of the series.

Despite the injury, Hill’s performance to that point caught the eye of Red Bull KTM Factory Team Manager Roger DeCoster

“We saw him take two wins in the Supercross series and saw a lot of potential in his outdoor results as well,” DeCoster said of Hill. “We are excited to have him join our team this season and feel he will complement our other rider, Marvin Musquin, very well, giving the Red Bull KTM Team a competitive rider on each coast in the Supercross series.”

Hill is excited about signing with Red Bull KTM for 2015.

“I’m really happy to get the opportunity to join the Red Bull KTM Factory Team and work with Team Manager Roger De Coster. I’ve always been a big fan of Roger and what he has accomplished throughout his career. I’m looking at this as a fresh start with an exciting brand and an opportunity to join a race-focused company which is a perfect fit for me.”
