“I’m super happy with the performance of the new Racetec SM tires this year,” said Gage McAllister. “There is no doubt that METZELER is producing the best Supermoto tires on the market right now and they were a big contribution to my success this season.”

In addition to clinching the championship, McAllister’s successful weekend continued as he flawlessly navigated the technical asphalt and dirt sections of the Grand Canyon State course to sweep both races. The 1-1 scores led McAllister to a very impressive total of nine race wins on the season, ultimately helping distance himself from the competition in the final championship points standings.

The K1 and K2 front slicks recently became available in a 125/75R/17 sizing, which has had a tremendous amount of success in recent months. The newer sizing shares the same compounds found on the updated 16.5” option, which increases grip and versatility. A rain option is also available for when conditions are wet.

On the rear, changes were made to the central “ladder” grooves at the beginning of the 2016 season in order to keep up with development of the sport and rapidly increasing number of talented AMA Supermoto participants. The three options, K0, K1 and K2 are all available in 165/55R/17, including a fourth rain option that is designed for wet conditions.
