Maxxis is proud of its Maxxcross SI dirtbike tires, which it calls a go-to for GNCC and WORCS pros. Designed for performance and durability, it features a race-proven rubber compound that is claimed to deliver excellent traction in soft/intermediate conditions on a motocross track or off-road circuit. Maxxis’ anti-flex knob bridges on the side lugs are used to enhance straight-line stability and provide grip for aggressive cornering. The Maxxcross SI was developed on the Grand National Cross Country circuit.

The Maxxcross IT is designed to offer an excellent value for pro motocrossers and off-road riders alike. It is designed to be a long-wearing intermediate motocross tire that performs exceptionally well in common intermediate to hardpack conditions. If supercross is your bag, Maxxis offers its Maxxcross Dual SX, which features a dual-compound tread pattern that is designed to work exceptionally well in hard-pack supercross or arenacross conditions. The Dual SX rear tire’s shoulder knobs are constructed of a soft compound, and the center knobs are even softer.
Maxxis is one of two tire manufacturers on this list that also offers a dirt track-specific tire, the DTR-1. Available in CD3 (soft compound) or CD5 (medium compound), the DTR-1 is designed to offer superb traction and ultimate control for a variety of dirt track conditions.
