So why not now? Because, talent aside, Stanley isn’t close to being a giant yet. He’s all of 11 years old. As the 999Lazer video shows, Stanley clearly has riding skills beyond his stature. The video text states, “11 Year Old John Stanley is one of the nicest kids you could possibly wish to meet. He is also an awesome enduro rider and has aspirations to make it to the very top of the enduro game. We spent a day with him to find out more about this talented lad and what makes him tick.”

Stanley already has some big wins to back up his enduro prodigy status. He is the defending champion in his age bracket at the Dawn to Dusk Enduro, which the promoter bills as the UK’s biggest and best enduro event. According to the site, The Dawn To Dusk Enduro draws over 500 riders, 1000 spectators and a wealth of exhibitors.

“You don’t have to be highly skilled or have the stamina of an ox, as our races allow every rider to achieve their own personal best in both time, endurance and competition,” the site text reads. “But if you are competitive then we always have world class riders against which you can compete. Be it part of a team or you on your lonesome, we ensure every rider has the opportunity to experience our first class facilities that will leave you with a feeling of accomplishment that no other course in the UK can offer. From undulating terrains, dense woodlands, narrow tracks, open gravel rides to water features, we have it all and some surprises too.”

The event hosts several over the course of two days, and it hosts the only 24-hour off-road endurance race in the UK.
