STI has introduced a new model of off-raod motorcycle tire, the Tech 2 DX, designed to deliver versatile performance and durability, according to the company.

The STI Tech 2 DX is a four-ply tire that features what the company calls a premium compound and a stiff lower sidewall to maximize strength while
offering high-mileage longevity. It’s available in the most popular sizes for today’s four-stroke off-road bikes, and it is DOT-approved
for on-road use.

STI Account Manager Jamie Chisolm the company is enthusiastic that the tire will meet the needs of its target audience.

“We’re excited to deliver a tire that meets the two most pressing needs of everyone who rides the desert, enduros or recreational
trails: durability and performance,” Chisholm said.

The Tech 2 DX utilizes core technologies and manufacturing processes taken from STI’s Tech 2 MXC tire, which STI says gives it a strong performance pedigree. The tread on the Tech 2 DX is designed to handle a great variety of terrain with a wide-block, full-depth pattern. It was also designed with dual-sport riders in mind, as it is DOT-approved. STI describes the tread pattern as 90% dirt/10% road.

The Tech 2 DX comes in 80/100-21 (Part# STT22131) for the front, plus 120/100-18 (Part# STT21835) and 110/90-19 (Part# STT21935) for the rear. STI Tire & Wheel products are distributed throughout the U.S. by MTA Distributing. For more information, visit www.stitireandwheel.com.
