Racer Productions, producer of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC), presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, today released the 13 dates that will make up the 2016 series.

The GNCC series is slated to run in eight different states throughout the eastern United States. The 2016 schedule includes many traditional GNCC venues, but it also features to all-new venues.

The schedule kicks off March 5-6 in Palatka, Florida, in conjunction with Daytona Bike Week, with the Wild Boar GNCC. Round two will visit the first new venue of the season, the Hill Family Farm in Sparta, Georgia. The new stop will incorporate the same grueling obstacles that GNCC racers are used to, while adding different terrain not usually encountered in a GNCC event. GNCC Trail Boss Jeff Russell said that the series is excited about the new venues it will visit during the season.

“The Hill Family Farm in Georgia promises to be a great addition,” Russell said. “The landscape has a little something for everyone, and it will definitely be a popular stop.”

Due to the increasing popularity of off-road racing in the South, the GNCC schedule will host back-to-back rounds in South Carolina. The town of Society Hill and Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve will serve as round five of the 13-race series.

“Moree’s Hunting Preserve in South Carolina will also be a great venue. While the scene is new to the GNCC circuit, it’s no stranger to racing,” Russell said. “The sandy terrain will add yet another challenge to the GNCC season.”

The schedule also welcomes back many of its most seasoned venues for 2016, including Steele Creek in Morganton, North Carolina; Big Buck in Union, South Carolina; the Limestone 100 in Springville, Indiana; the John Penton in Millfield, Ohio; Tomahawk in Odessa, New York; West Virginia’s popular Snowshoe GNCC; Unadilla in New Berlin, New York; Masontown, West Virginia’s Mountaineer Run; St. Clairsville, Ohio’s Powerline Park; and the Ironman in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
