The House Subcommittee on Federal Lands held a hearing on two important legislative initiatives related to OHV land use in the Stage of California, Wednesday. If passed, the two bills, H.R. 1838, the Clear Creek National Recreation Area and Conservation Act, and H.R. 3668, the California Minerals, Off-Road Recreation, and Conservation Act, could have a positive impact on OHV recreation in the state.

The BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) is urging its members, partners, colleagues and all OHV enthusiasts to watch the video from the hearing on H.R. 1838 (reopening Clear Creek) and H.R. 3668 (protecting OHV recreation in So Cal), as the BRC feels it is worth the time to view our government at work on issues that are important to land access for the OHV commmunity. There are many important topics covered which include assumption of risk, closure impacts to local economies, stakeholder involvement, arbitrary closures and statutory relief.
