The following is from the Kemea Yamaha Official MX team, which fields Belgium’s Brent Van doninck in the FIM MX2 World Championship:

Kemea Yamaha Official MX rider Brent Van doninck dislocated his right hip at a Belgian motocross race over the weekend and will miss competition for at least one month in recovery.

Van doninck crashed during the second moto at the Wuustwezel International Motocross in his native Belgium and left the race for immediate medical attention. Emergency personnel and race medical professionals transported the 20-year old to a local hospital for further examination.

A strong and nimble YZ250F rider, Herentals-native Van doninck rode exceptionally well in the recent GP Valkenswaard and was racing the Wuustwezel International Motocross in preparation for an upcoming swing with his Kemea Yamaha Official Team through Argentina and Mexico in the MX2 class.

Yamaha Racing wishes Brent a speedy recovery and rehabilitation period and eagerly awaits his return to the MX2 championship.
