The GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil has released a tentative schedule that includes two new cities for 2014.

The Gwinnett Center, just outside of Atlanta will provide an East Coast swing for the series and the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City will also join the series for the first time. Las Vegas will again host the opening round on Friday, May 2, during the Monster Energy Supercross Finals weekend, but the traditional finals in November will instead be held in Ontario, California on November 22. The X Games Enduro X event in Austin, Texas, will also likely be included as a points paying event for the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship. So the series will expand from seven venues in 2013 to nine for 2014.

“We are really excited about taking EnduroCross to the East Coast with the new event in Atlanta. Utah is also a great off-road market” said Mike Karsting, VP of events for Source Interlink Media, the producer of EnduroCross. “The X Games event in Austin will also likely be included in the championship, and we expect all three locations to attract racers and fans from a wide region to experience the exciting action of EnduroCross.”

The 2013 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series still has three events remaining, including Everett, Washington, Boise, Idaho and the Las Vegas finals. Mike Brown currently holds a narrow three point lead over Taddy Blazusiak as they enter the home stretch4.
