Popular aftermarket exhaust system and aftermarket accessory manufacturer FMF Racing has announced plans to expand its sponsorship of the series for the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, beginning with title sponsorship of this weekend’s FMF Glen Helen National in Southern California.

The FMF Glen Helen National is the second round of the 12-round 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship schedule. FMF will also introduce the FMF Privateer Power Award at the event. Throughout the remainder of the season, the FMF Privateer Power Award will recognize the privateers that continue to overcome the odds at each round in pursuit of their racing dreams. Whether it‘s a tough race, some financial hardship or another obstacle, FMF will pay tribute to the core of the competitors in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship that keep fighting through it all each and every weekend by any means necessary.

Another unique part of its sponsorship at Glen Helen will be the FMF 2-Stroke Invitational at the Glen Helen National. FMF earned its powerhouse status in the industry by developing two-stroke exhausts, and it will honor that heritage by by inviting a star-studded invitational field to fill thel 40-rider gate and put on a 20-minute two-stroke moto just prior to the of the FMF Glen Helen National.

FMF, an acronym for Flying Machine Factory, has a rich, 40-year legacy as one of the top aftermarket high-performance exhaust companies, and it has become synonymous with motocross worldwide. FMF has been a strong supporter of AMA motocross for decades, and the 2015 season served as an ideal opportunity to step up its support, according to FMF Marketing Director Donny Emler Jr.

“Supporting and sponsoring the Pro Motocross Championship is part of FMF’s identity and the opportunity to step up our efforts this season by partnering with a track we have supported for equally as long in Glen Helen made perfect sense,” Emler Jr., said. “Our company’s success was founded on developing exhausts for two-strokes, so to host an invitational alongside the National will be something special for all the hardcore fans and enthusiasts in SoCal.”

Naturally, FMF Racing is represented in both the 250cc and 450cc divisions in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Several of the series top factory-backed teams use FMF exhaust systems, including Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing, , Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Red Bull/KTM and BTO Sports KTM.

“This is a key sponsorship renewal for the Pro Motocross Championship,” said Mark Carter, Vice President and General Manager, NBC Sports Ventures, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. “FMF means so many things to motocross, and having them step up their partnership and take on the entitlement of the popular race at the famed Glen Helen track is a win for the entire industry.”
