Seventeen-time Baja 1000-winning off-road legend hopes to add to his legacy through the JCR Speed Shop.
Johnny Campbell should need no introduction to off-road dirtbike fans.
A living legend in off-road racing, Campbell created his own legacy and helped Honda forge a dynasty in the wilds of Baja California, Mexico. Campbell’s personal record of 11 Baja 1000 overall wins as a rider plus six more as a team owner and manager total an astounding 17 consecutive Baja 1000 victories for Honda, a record that may never be eclipsed.
Campbell has been promoting his JCR Honda brand in other competitive arenas, most notably the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series with rider Chris Bach, who is currently ninth in the GNCC National Championship standings. Now, Campbell is venturing into the aftermarket parts and accessories biz with a new brand, the JCR Speed Shop (www.jcrspeedshop.com).
The JCR Speed Shop will offer a gamut of goods and services from custom race bikes to signature Johnny Campbell and JCR/Honda products and apparel. The goal of the JCR Speed Shop is to make the quality of Johnny Campbell’s own racing program available to the masses.
“The Speed Shop was built to meet a need and provide us with an outlet,” Campbell said. “For years we would get endless requests for things like how to build a race bike for Baja, Rally, Motocross, GNCC or Desert and where they could get a hold of the Baja fanny pack I ride with. So here it is all laid out in a nice website ready for you. Special thanks goes to my longtime friend and Speed Shop partner Joe Lloyd for the time he put in to make this a reality.”
The JCR Speed Shop can build custom dirt bikes to meet the needs of any customer, whether they race Baja, motocross, grand prix, endure, or enjoy dual sport riding or serious play riding.
