Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo suffers another unfortunate shoulder injury while competing overseas last weekend.
In another tough blow dealt to one of the sport’s most promising young talents, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo has been ruled out of the 2015 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season in the wake of a shoulder injury suffered while competing at the Geneva Supercross in Switzerland last weekend.
Cianciarulo landed awkwardly following a crash, and the impact injured his shoulder forcing him to undergo surgery this week, according to a team press release. Cianciarulo, who won three 250cc East Supercross events, including his professional debut, and appeared set to win the 125cc East title before suffering a similar injury late in the season, said that he is very frustrated personally and for his sponsors and supporters.
“I’ve been fortunate and blessed enough to have a very healthy career up until this past year,” he said. “My off-season training has been going well, and everything was coming together nicely to have a good supercross season. This injury sets me back, so now I am turning my focus to getting healthy and preparing for motocross starting in May. As hard as this is, I’m in good spirits knowing I have such a great group of people behind me.”
