KTM support rider Steward Baylor scored the overal win at the Brandywine Enduro Riders-hosted Rattlesnake National Enduro, round seven of the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series, in Cross Fork, Pennsylvania, Sunday.

Baylor won the event by 51 seconds over the next closest finisher, who just happened to be his brother, AmPro Yamaha’s Grant Baylor. Beta USA’s Jesse Groemm was third overall.

A former Kenda AMA National Enduro Champion, Steward Baylor knows how to win, but he didn’t get off to the best of starts in the first of the six special tests of the Rattlesnake National Enduro, posting a lackluster ninth-best time while KTM’s Russell Bobbit set the pace by winning the test. However, Steward quickly got with the progam and charged to wins in the next two special tests to move toward the top of the running order. Grant Baylor made a solid bid for the overall win by posting the fastest times in tests four and five, but Steward rebounded to finish ahead of Groemm in the final special test, while Grant Baylor slipped to third, sealing the overall win for Steward Baylor.

After posting the first test win, multi-time Kenda AMA National Enduro Champion Russell Bobbitt went on to finish fourth overall followed by reigning champion Andrew DeLong. Current series point leader Kailub Russell had a tough day at the Rattlesnake, carding a sixth-place overall finish.

Steward Baylor’s win allowed him to pull closer to Russell in the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series points standings. Baylor now trails Russell by 24 points, 126-150, with three rounds remaining. Round eight of the series is scheduled to take place in Moorestown, Michigan, August 23.
