Best of the best: Greg Hancock is a four-time World Individual Speedway Champion and perhaps the best ambassador the sport has ever known. SCOTT DALOISIO.

The only American in history to have four world individual championships. In addition, he has won the U.S. National championship eight times. Throw in three World Team Cup and one World Best Pairs gold medals and it is easy to see why he is ranked number one. He is one of the greatest gaters in the history of the sport. He has been riding Speedway for almost 40-years including nearly 30 in Europe. Fast approaching his 47th birthday, this amazing athlete whips up on top international stars who are young enough to be his children. Greg Hancock is also perhaps the greatest ambassador in the history of speedway.
