Noted English speedway journalist John Chaplin once referred to Bobby Schwartz as “the greatest rider to never make a World Final.” World Final or not, he had a great career and is still riding today. Schwartz partnered with Bruce Penhall and then Dennis Sigalos to win World Pairs titles in 1981 and 1982. He was also a member of the USA’s World Team Cup winning squad in 1982. Off the track, “Boogaloo” always has a laugh and a joke. On it, he is one of the fiercest competitors in the history of world speedway. He feared no other rider.
