Beta USA’s Cody Webb rode to a repeat victory of the Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tennessee, yesterday, outgunning stiff competition from many of the top riders across the American off-road scene.

With the win, Webb joins Mike Brown (2011, 2012) as a two-time winner of the event. Factory FMF/KTM rider Taylor Robert was second for the second year in a row, and Grant Baylor was third.

The Kenda Tennessee Knockout is the creation of Dan Brown, the owner of the Trials Training Center, which has hosted National and World Championship Trials events. It features a multi round “knockout” format. Each round is different as the riders race against the clock in some rounds and head to head in others, facing both short and long courses consisting of extremely difficult terrain. All of the action is designed to be spectator friendly, offering easy viewing access to many of the most challenging sections.

Weather was a factor in this year’s event, as heavy rain moved in to make the latter portions of the event even more hazardous, but that may have only worked in Webb’s favor, as the former AMA/NATC National Trials Champion used his skills to slink through the slippery rocks and beat Robert in the three-mile Hot Lap competition by 17 seconds.

In the final, which was shortened from 10 laps to five laps because of the conditions, Webb took the early lead and never looked back. Robert moved into a clean second place, leaving Baylor, Beta USA’s Max Gerston and RPM/KTM’s Bobby Prochau to duke it out for third place. Webb went on to win comfortably over Robert, with Baylor taking the final podium spot, ahead of Prochau and Gerston.
