KTM announced today that FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Taylor Robert has put together a deal with KTM’s European Factory Racing Team to compete in the 2016 Enduro World Championship (EWC) Series.

Robert, who has been a part of KTM’s factory American off-road effort since late 2013, has had a great 2015 season since rebounding from an injury suffered early in the year. He has scored podium finishes in every GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series event that he has contested.

Robert rebounded from injury early in the year to post strong finishes in the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series. He will soon turn his attention to both the FIM SuperEnduro and the Enduro World Championship series.

Robert’s 2016 plan includes joining new FMF/KTM Factory recruit Cody Webb to race in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in FMF/KTM Factory colors before stepping over to the European KTM Factory Racing Team.

“This has always been a dream of mine, to race over in Europe,” Robert said. “I am honored to be moving to their factory team and to compete against the best European riders over there.”

FMF KTM Factory Team Manager Antti Kallonen added that the team is proud of the success it has had with Robert, and wishes him well as he contends for the World Enduro Championship.

“[We] look forward to seeing him compete full-time in Europe,” Kallonen said. “We hope that having an American racing full-time in the series will bring some more US fans to that series and help grow the enthusiasm for SuperEnduro and EWC Series in North America.”
