Due to the unfortunate demise of the Pala MX track in Pala, California, the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) has announced a venue change for round six of the series.

The race presented by Triple S Polaris, will move to Iron Mine MX in Cedar City, Utah. The dates for the round are unchanged. The event is scheduled to run July 11-13.

WORCS officials said that they have been aware of the track closure for about a month but wanted to see if the issues that caused the closure could be worked out before any decision was made regarding a venue change. As soon as is was clear that these issues would not be quickly resolved, the search began for a new location. The course that was selected to replace Pala is Iron Mine MX in Cedar City, Utah. The track sits at 6000 feet and has a motocross track and a GP off-road course. WORCS officials said that the weather is very good at Cedar City in July as well. Also, the family that owns the track are WORCS racers who are very excited to host the round.
